The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, also known as SFMOMA, is one of the largest modern and contemporary art museums in the United States. It opened in 1935 and was the first museum on the West Coast to focus only on modern art. Today, it holds over 33,000 artworks, including paintings, photographs, sculptures, and more.
SFMOMA is located in downtown San Francisco. The building is known for its unique and modern design, especially after a big expansion in 2016. The museum has many different galleries where people can explore famous works by artists like Andy Warhol, Frida Kahlo, and Jackson Pollock.
Visitors can also enjoy special exhibits that change throughout the year. SFMOMA is a great place to learn about art, get inspired, or just enjoy a peaceful day looking at creative works. Whether you're a big fan of art or just curious, there's something for everyone to see and enjoy.
