SFMOMA is open most days of the week with some exceptions:
- Monday–Tuesday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Wednesday: Closed
- Thursday: 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Friday–Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
The museum is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, also known as SFMOMA, is one of the largest modern and contemporary art museums in the United States.
